[ANI] A Bio-emulator (e80.14:20) is a device made to produce "Protoculture emanations" (e80.14:52) that are distinctly "Robotech in origin" (e80.14:54). It's function is to attract Invid, whose sensors detect such emanations, and ultimately lead them into a trap. The system is by no means perfect as the Protoculture activity it synthetically produces (e80.15:08) is "unusually steady in its dispersion" (e80.15:03) and has "no modulations or fluctuations of any kind" (e80.15:05).

The Invid Prince Corg encountered such a device but he believed that humans were "incapable of such a deception" (e80.15:11) and ignored the warnings of the Regis who was quick to calculate the situation's high probability of being a trap. -Macross
